Are you looking for the most delicious shrimp recipes to serve for your next family lunch or dinner? This seafood has a characteristic flavor and texture, which, despite dividing opinions, pleases many palates and can be used as the main star of various dishes in the kitchen.

1 – Brazilian Shrimp: Among the main ingredients used in the preparation of the bobó with shrimp recipe, in addition to the seafood itself, is palm oil, which must be of good quality to give the bobó the perfect taste.

Ingredients

1 kg of clean medium shrimp

1 tablespoon of finely chopped cilantro

2 tablespoons of olive oil

1 medium onion, grated

1 large tomato without skin, without seed and finely chopped

Coconut milk as per recipe (or 1 and 1/2 bottle of 400 ml coconut milk)

5 tablespoons of palm oil

1 kg of cassava (cassava, manioc) cooked and without the lint in the middle

Sea salt

Preparation mode

Season the prawns with salt and chopped cilantro and let it rest for an hour or so.

In that time cook the cassava and make the coconut milk (see the links in the post).

Beat the cooked cassava with the coconut milk until it becomes a cream and set aside.

In a pan put the olive oil and the onion and let it fry a little. Add the tomatoes and sauté a little more.

Add to this stew the prawns already seasoned.

As soon as the prawns change color, add the beaten cassava cream with the coconut milk.

Mix very well and add more salt.

Add the palm oil, stir well.

Let it heat up well, until it boils and turn off, it’s ready.

2 – Colorful shrimp risotto: Risotto is another traditional dish that goes very well with fresh shrimp. And this colorful version is perfect for serving friends or family over a Saturday lunch. On the list of ingredients are arboreal rice, raw shrimp with peel, onion, olive oil, red and yellow peppers, salt, parmesan, parsley and pepper. The mixture is delicious!

Ingredients

500g of raw shrimp with shell

2 cups of arboreal rice

1 cup of red pepper cut into cubes

1 cup of yellow pepper cut into cubes

1/2 chopped onion

Parsley

Salt and pepper

Olive oil

1 tablespoon pepper

Grated Parmesan to finish

Preparation mode

Peel the prawns and set aside
Place the heads, tails and shells of the shrimp to boil in two liters of water for 10 minutes.

Season the prawns with salt and pepper to taste and store in the refrigerator.

Sauté the chopped onion and peppers for 5 minutes in a large saucepan.

Add the rice and salt, saute.

Remove the shells, heads and tail of the shrimp from the broth, passing it through a sieve and discard them (keep the broth always heated in a separate pan).

Add the risotto with the shrimp broth and stir a little until the broth starts to dry, water a little, stir a little, always on low heat.

When the rice is ready , add the chopped parsley and the prawns, parmesan and butter.

Turn off the heat and mix gently until the shrimp are pinkish.

3 – Rice with shrimp and tilapia: This recipe is the perfect choice for those who really love seafood. Here, the mixture of fish, tilapia and shrimp promises to give a special flavor to the dish. In addition to them, common white rice is used, but you can also replace it with tree rice, if you find it better.

Ingredients for rice

250g frozen shrimp

2 cups white rice (or arboreal)

1 lemon and a half

½ chopped onion

a little dry white wine (the amount varies according to your taste)

1 clove of garlic

1 spoon of butter

2 tablespoons of grated parmesan

1 tomato and ½ chopped without seed

A handful of parsley

Salt and Tabasco

Preparation mode

Let the shrimp thaw and in a bowl place it with the lemon juice for about 15 minutes.

In a pan sauté the onion and let it brown. Then add the tomatoes, rice and parsley and stir a little. Add 4 cups of water, season with salt and cook over low heat until all the water is dry.

While the rice is cooking, I put shrimp and garlic in a frying pan. Season with a little salt (remembering that we are going to add it with the rice that has already been salted) and a little tabasco.

When the shrimp is starting to turn pink, add the wine, turn the pan a little so that the wine comes into contact with the stove fire to flambé the shrimp. After the fire goes out, stir the shrimp a little more until it turns pink. Turn off the heat on the skillet and set aside.

With the rice ready, turn off the heat and place the spoon of butter. Add the shrimp and stir carefully until everything is incorporated, finally add the Parmesan cheese and mix a little more.

Ingredients for tilapia

2 tilapia fillets

1 lemon juice

Black pepper to taste

4 – Shrimp with wholegrain pasta: For pasta lovers, this recipe for shrimp with wholegrain pasta can be an idea of a light dish, but full of flavor. 5 – Shrimp with fish stew: Although it takes a little longer to prepare, because it is a medium difficulty recipe, this recipe promises to be a success in any meal. To make it, you will need medium prawns, lemon, onion, coconut milk, tomato, black pepper, firm fish, garlic, palm oil, coriander, parsley, salt and red pepper.

INGREDIENTS

1 kg of fish in slices

500 g of shelled medium shrimp

4 crushed garlic cloves

2 medium onions, thinly sliced

4 tomatoes in thin slices

1 yellow pepper in thin slices

6 tablespoons palm oil

250 ml of coconut milk

2 squeezed lemons

Green seasoning (coriander, chives and parsley)

Salt and pepper

PREPARATION MODE

Wash the fish and shrimp well under running water, season them with lemon juice, garlic, salt and pepper.

In a pan, spread the 3 tablespoons of palm oil, add the fish slices and shrimp on top, the onion rings, tomatoes, peppers, the green smell (optional) and the rest of the palm oil.

Cook over low heat until it boils and leave for another 5 minutes. Add the coconut milk, as soon as it boils again, turn off the heat and serve with rice and manioc flour.

6 – Shrimp stroganoff: Stroganoff is a dish that is always seen on the table all over the world. But, with the shrimp, it can gain an air of sophistication, being perfect to serve at the traditional Sunday lunch with the whole family gathered. During preparation, instead of brandy, white wine is used, in addition to ketchup, mustard and Worcestershire sauce.

INGREDIENTS

500 g of medium shrimp previously washed, and cooked in water for 10 minutes.

200 g of champignon

1 chopped onion

1 thread of oil

2 cans of tomato sauce

1 can of sour cream

4 tablespoons of ketchup

3 tablespoons of mustard

2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

Salt and pepper

PREPARATION MODE

Fry the onion in oil.

Add the tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, mustard and stir well.

Add salt to taste.

The seasoning should be strong, but the cream will greatly soften the flavor of the recipe.

Add the cooked shrimp, the chopped champignons, and cook for a few minutes.

Turn off the heat and add the cream.

Serve with white rice and potato chips.

7 – Shrimp pie: This shrimp pie recipe is an explosion of flavor and creaminess, since it takes catupiry cheese and has a super soft dough. However, the preparation can take a little longer compared to the other shrimp recipes that we teach here, which can take about an hour and twenty minutes.

Ingredients

Pasta:

2 cups of wheat flour

1 cup of butter or margarine tea

1 yolk

1 pinch of salt

Filling:

200ml Coconut Milk

1 packet of 250g frozen shrimp

1 tablespoon chopped basil

1 crushed garlic clove

3 tablespoons of oil

Salt and pepper

3 tablespoons butter

2 tablespoons of flour

1/2 cup grated cheese

2 egg yolks

Preparation mode

Pasta:

Mix the ingredients and knead until you get a homogeneous mixture.

Let stand for 10 minutes. Roll out the dough on a floured surface.

Cover the bottom and sides of a greased removable pan with a 22cm diameter.

Prick the bottom with a fork and bake in a preheated oven for about 15 minutes.

Filling:

Sauté basil and garlic in oil. Add the thawed and drained shrimp.

Let them fry. Season with salt and pepper.

Add a little hot water and cook until the sauce thickens.

In another pan, melt the butter, add the flour, stirring constantly. add the heated coconut milk, season with salt and pepper to taste and cook for a few minutes, stirring constantly.

Remove from heat, add grated cheese, egg yolks and sautéed prawns. Mix well. Fill the pie with the cream and put it in the preheated and moderate oven until golden.

Serve it hot.

When we are in the kitchen, things are not done on “automatic”, attention and focus are needed. So, during practice, we disconnect a little from everyday problems, reducing the stress generated by these constant thoughts.

Without being mushy, let alone cliché, for me, when cooking for someone, love is the essential touch to start any recipe.

An important fact that we need to highlight when making the decision to cook is to take pleasure in what we do. We will have an opposite result when doing it out of obligation or simply for doing it. When we take our time and mix it with pleasure and affection, we create a relationship with food, transferring the love of cooking in the form of seasoning. It is necessary to love what we do, cooking is no different, it is a way of loving people.
