Ingredients

1 frozen drumstick

Sea salt

1 lemon juice

2 tablespoons of coconut oil (30 g)

1 bay leaf

1 bunch of fresh thyme

1 chopped onion (140 g)

2 garlic cloves

1 chopped red pepper (150 g)

1 chopped yellow pepper (150 g)

1 kg of tomato, seedless, chopped

1 teaspoon of spicy paprika

1 teaspoon of pepperoni pepper

1 glass of coconut milk (200 ml)

If you like a touch of stinginess in your meals you definitely need to try the drumstick with hot sauce. In addition to being delicious and easy to prepare, this recipe is also an excellent source of protein, iron and vitamins. To make this dish at home there is no mystery, just follow our step by step:

Preparation mode

Thaw the thighs and season them with salt and lemon;

In a baking dish, place the thighs, cover with aluminum foil and bake in a preheated oven (180°C) for about 45 minutes

Turn the pieces in half the time

In a large skillet, heat the coconut oil, add the bay leaf and the thyme sprig

Add the onion and garlic and saute until the onion wilts

Add the peppers and cook for another 3 minutes, stirring constantly

Add the tomatoes, paprika and pepper and cook until it forms a sauce

Add coconut milk and thighs

Adjust the salt and cook for 5 minutes

Turn off the heat before sprinkling the parsley or cilantro and serve hot

Finally, the pepper, along with the paprika, helps give the recipe a spicy touch. Its greatest benefit is that it is thermogenic, that is, it is difficult to digest. OK, this initially doesn’t sound good, but it actually means that the metabolism will have to speed up in order to digest the nutrients, which contributes to the weight loss process. In addition, capsaicin, the substance responsible for the burning sensation, has analgesic properties, being even indicated especially for people who suffer from arthritis and arthrosis. It is also an anticoagulant, anti-inflammatory and helps to reduce bad cholesterol (LDL) and increase good (HDL) cholesterol levels.
